(Hillsboro) The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is planning to have its next Citizens Academy this fall. Normally, the sheriff’s office will hold two programs a year but canceled both in 2020, and the spring program this year due to the pandemic. Sheriff Dave Marshak says they just made the decision to bring it back in September.
Sheriff Marshak says they plan to max the number of people to around 30.
The Citizens Academy is normally held once a week for ten weeks. There is no cost to take part in it, but you must register by contacting the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office at (636) 797-5000 and you can fill out an application on their website JCSD dot org.
