Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office hopes the crime lab construction begins soon

(Hillsboro) During the Jefferson County State of the County address this week, County Executive Dennis Gannon mentioned the hope to break ground on the Sheriff’s Office crime lab this year. Sheriff Dave Marshak says he was excited to hear Gannon mention that and the reaction from the crowd in attendance.

Sheriff Marshak says the recent moves have been made to push the project along.

Sheriff Marshak says his only real concern is the number of other projected construction projects in the area.

The proposed Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office forensic crime lab will be located near or attached to the current evidence storage facility in Pevely.
