Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office ready for the 4th of July weekend

(Hillsboro) The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is ready for what is likely to be a busy weekend with the 4th of July looming on Monday. Major Andy Sides says they expect a variety of calls for service, and not necessarily calls for major crimes.

Unincorporated Jefferson County does not have laws or mandates that prohibit the lighting of fireworks. However, Major Sides says please be mindful of your neighbors.

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, like many other law enforcement agencies, will be watching for drivers traveling impaired throughout the holiday weekend.
