(Jefferson County) Jefferson County’s Stay at Home Order remains in effect through April 23.

The order was implemented on Monday to try and help reduce the spread of the COVID-19 virus in the county.

Kelly Vollmar is the Director of the Jefferson County Health Department. She along with County Executive Dennis Gannon held a video conference Tuesday night addressing residents of the county and answering questions regarding to the Stay at Home Order.

Vollmar goes on to explain how the health department has been handling the positive cases reported in the county.

As of right now there are 5 confirmed cases of coronavirus in Jefferson County with more than 350 cases statewide.
