(Hillsboro) Jefferson County is adopting new restrictions to reduce the spread of Covid-19 in the region. The new restrictions for the Stay At Home Orders will take effect just after midnight tonight (Monday) and will remain in effect until just before midnight on April 23rd. Jefferson County Health Director Kelly Vollmar says there are a few key components to the Stay At Home Order.

Just of few of the businesses that will continue operations are healthcare facilities, grocery stores, convenience stores, restaurants and bars…..but only for pickup, curbside, carry-out, take-out and delivery, businesses that ship or delivery groceries….food…or goods, transportation services, mailing and shipping services, laundromats, hardware stores, construction entities, childcare services, hotels, funeral homes, along with federal, state, and local government.

As far as testing for the Coronavirus, Kelly Vollmar says there still are no positive cases in Jefferson County.

Vollmar says the reason for the updated changes to the Stay At Home Orders is a direct result of the growing number of positive Covid-19 cases in St. Louis and St. Louis County.
