Jefferson County to open things up in May

(Hillsboro) The current Jefferson County State of Emergency declaration and Stay At Home Order has a date to lift, however with certain restrictions. Jefferson County is looking at following Governor Mike Parson’s current timeline of things beginning to open just before midnight on May 3rd. County Executive Dennis Gannon says they are working on a plan.

Gannon says keeping things as safe as possible is still the top priority.

Gannon has met with different business owners and plans to meet further with leadership of the county municipalities. Gannon, as well as other county officials, are currently working on the Phase One reopening plan, which is likely to include hair salons, barbershops, and restaurants.
