Jefferson County Weekend Accidents

Two people were injured in a two vehicle crash in Jefferson County on Friday evening.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 2006 Volkswagon Passat driven by 44-year-old Christy Sturgeon of High Ridge was making a left turn from westbound Highway 30 onto New Sugar Creek when a 2015 Chevy Suburban driven by 48-year-old Richard Fowler of High Ridge ran a steady red light.

As a result, Fowler struck the right side of Sturgeon’s vehicle.

Sturgeon received serious injuries while her passenger, a 14-year-old female from High Ridge sustained moderate injuries.

Both were taken by ambulance to Mercy Hospital South for treatment.

The Accident happened around 7:38 Friday evening.

A Fenton man was injured in a two vehicle accident Saturday afternoon in Jefferson County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports a 2016 Suzuki GSXR 1000 driven by 42-year-old Nicholas Lowery of Fenton was driving south on Old Sugar Creek Road when a 2019 Honda CRV driven by 68-year-old John Haring of High Ridge began to pull out from Sugar Mountain Drive, attempting to make a left turn onto Old Sugar Creek, when he travelled into the path of Lowery’s vehicle resulting in the accident.

The accident occurred around 3:35 Saturday afternoon.
