(Jefferson County) The Jefferson Foundation recently released its 2020 Round 1 list of approved grants.
Some of the organizations that were approved grants are: the Crystal City School District awarded a grant of $67,000 to increase school based mental health services.
Pony Bird, Inc. awarded $60,000 to support the essential medical transportation program.
Also, a grant of $10,000 awarded to the Ozark Food Pantry to purchase food and to assist with general operating expenses.
Foundation Executive Vice President Missy Endres says it’s great to help and to give back to the community.
Altogether 95 grants were approved totaling 2-million-400-thousand-579 dollars.
Grant money from round 1 is expected to be delivered sometime in the next week.
Round 2 for grant applications opened on June 3rd and the deadline to apply is July 22nd.
Announcements of agencies approved grant money from round 2 will be made on November 1st of this year.
