Jefferson Franklin Community Action Corporation partners with Small Business Resource Center

(Jefferson County) The Jefferson Franklin Community Action Corporation (JFAC) has several programs they offer to eligible residents in Jefferson and neighboring counties.

In addition the JFCAC partners with a variety of other community organizations to help assist the public anyway they can. One of those partnerships is with the Small Business Resource Center (SBRC).

Marquitte Shannon is the Director of the SBRC. She overviews who they are and what they do.

Shannon further explains the “Hub” and “Spoke” models.

The JFCAC was the only organization in Missouri to be selected for the SBRCA Community Navigator pilot program.

This was a $1-million grant form the SBRC to fund services through “Spokes” and deliver those services to entrepreneurs and small businesses free of charge. However, the program does not provide direct funding to businesses.
