Jefferson High School to Hold Formal Graduation in Late July

(Festus) Jefferson R-7 High School Seniors will have the chance to partake in a formal graduation commencement ceremony in late July.
Jefferson schools Superintendent Clint Johnston says the district decided for a late July graduation because they wanted to give as much time as possible for things to return back to some sort of normalcy all the while hoping for a continued decrease in COVID-19 numbers.
Johnston adds if strict social distancing guidelines are still in place come gradation, one senior along with some family members will be allowed in at a time.
Again, Jefferson R-7 Senior Gradation will be held on Saturday, July 25th at 10am at the high school gymnasium.
