Jefferson R-7’s Colby Ott Makes Football Dream Team with All-Around Flashy Stats

(FESTUS) Multi-positional junior footballer Colby Ott of the Jefferson Blue Jays is a member of the Dream Team. Ott made it on as a wide receiver, defensive back, and a punt and kickoff returner for the Blue Jays. Ott takes us back to the night of the Dream Team Selection Show.

Ott ran the ball as a wideout and so combining those numbers with his receiving numbers, Ott had 656 total yards and 11 touchdowns this season. As a defensive back, Ott accumulated 53 total tackles and 4 interceptions. And as a special teams returner, Ott had 19-yards per punt return and three kickoffs returned for touchdowns.

All of these stats led to Ott being 1st-Team All-District, 1st-Team All-Conference, 1st-Team All-Region, and 3rd-Team All-State Defensive Back for Class 2.

Colby Ott responded with an “absolutely” when asked if the two kickoffs returned for touchdowns against Chaffee were the highlights of his junior season.
