Jefferson rolls past Festus on strength of Weik’s big night

The Jefferson Bluejays raced out of the gates and stormed past the Festus Tigers 62-43 Tuesday evening as heard on AM 1400 KJFF.

Jefferson jumped out in front thanks in hot shooting from senior forward Jon Weik.

Weik hit 5 three-pointers in the first half and scored 21 of his game-high 24 points.
The Bluejays led 37-15 at the break and never looked back thanks to Weik’s hot start.
Jefferson head coach Sean Breeze said Weik simply couldn’t miss.

Festus falls to 9-11 with the loss, while Jefferson improves to 12-10 and wins its third straight.
The Bluejays are next in action against another crosstown rival when they host the St. Pius Lancers.
