(FESTUS) Jefferson volleyball senior libero Kendall Runzi set a couple of school records this past season en route to a spot on the Fall 2018 Dream Team.

Kendall tallied 484 serve receptions, a single-season record for the Blue Jays, along with 1,332 career serve receptions, also a school record. Focusing on the team’s accomplishments, Kendall reflects back on the best win of the season.

Some of Kendall’s teammates have been playing together since 3rd grade and others since 8th grade. Kendall attributes that time together as the reason the team was able to complete its first-ever 30-win season.

Kendall is referring to this past summer when Coach Ashleigh Nagel suffered a heart attack, forcing Jefferson to tag assistant Tara Fish as the interim head coach for the 2018 season. Kendall first addresses what coach Nagel has meant to her career and then talks about the good job she and Coach Fish did provided the circumstances.

Kendall will be attending the University of Mississippi, aka Ole Miss, for academics only and plans to major in business with the hopes of becoming a financial planner.
