Jefferson’s Abi Chipps Sets Softball State Record, is the Parkland Health Mart Pharmacy Athlete of the Week

(FESTUS) Jefferson R-7 softball senior Abi Chipps is the latest Parkland Health Mart Pharmacy Play It Forward Athlete of the Week.

Abi tied and broke the state record for career singles in back-to-back games last week, tying the record against Valley Park and then breaking it and setting a new one against Saxony Lutheran.

Her head coach, Robert Kuehnle, couldn’t have been more thrilled that Abi was able to achieve such a feat.

 
In addition to the state record, Abi scored 6 runs and stole 7 bases. Coach Kuenhle added that yes, awards are great and Abi is certainly appreciative of them, but the team has always come first for her.

 
As the Athlete of the Week, Abi will receive a t-shirt, a certificate and the chance to pick a local charity that will receive a $25 donation from Parkland Health Mart Pharmacy.
