Jefferson’s Andrew Graves Earns Parkland Health Mart Pharmacy Athlete of the Week, Chooses Jefferson County Backstoppers for $25 Donation

(FESTUS) As announced Tuesday on Regional Radio, Jefferson R-7 senior running back and linebacker Andrew Graves is the first recipient of the Parkland Health Mart Pharmacy “Play it Forward Athlete of the Week” award.

Graves, coming back after a knee injury that prematurely ended his junior season, scored 4 total touchdowns in the team’s win over Bishop Dubourg on Friday. Graves talks about his performance and what it felt like to finally get back on the football field after so much time away.

In the Blue Jays victory, Graves also rushed for 55 yards and two touchdowns, eclipsing the 5-thousand yard rushing mark for his career. With 5,033 career rushing yards, Graves sits 15th all-time in Missouri for that category. He talks about achieving that mark.

As the Play it Forward Athlete of the Week, Graves has received a t-shirt, a certificate, and Parkland Health Mart Pharmacy is donating twenty-five dollars to the Jefferson County BackStoppers non-profit in Andrew’s name. Graves explains why he chose that organization.
