Jobless Claims Drop

(Washington D.C.) Weekly U.S. jobless claims have once again dropped, again hitting a new low.

According to the Labor Department’s reports that the number of new jobless claims being opened sat around 310 thousand for the week of September 4.

These are the lowest numbers for unemployment benefits in the time of Covid-19 and much lower than than expected 335 thousand.

The previous week’s numbers showed 345 thousand new unemployment claims opening.

With many federal benefits expiring, the overall amount of people continuing to file unemployment dropped to 11.93 million.
