Josie Allen of Festus is J-98 Dream Teamer

(FESTUS)    Josie Allen of Festus High School is a 2023 Girls Basketball Dream Team selection and she says it caps off a great senior season. This year, Josie averaged 17.2 points, four rebounds, three assists and four steals per game. She scored 1,104 points in three seasons despite missing her freshman year due to a knee injury. Josie holds the Festus single game scoring record with 42 points. In February she signed her letter of intent to play next year for the Jefferson College Lady Vikings.

Josie mentions one of her favorite games this past season.

Josie says she and Lady Tigers head coach Steve McFarland were often thinking on the same wavelength.

Josie Allen has also excelled in the classroom. She has been Class President 3 years, Student Council Vice President 1 year, a member of Key Club 2 years, National Honor Society 3 years and President of NHS her Senior year.
