JPAD had an increase in calls in 2021

(Crystal City) The Joachim Plattin Ambulance District had a record number of calls for service in 2021. JPAD Administrator Curt Stueve says the numbers have been steadily increasing over the past few years.

Stueve says they received a lot of calls because many of those in need were apprehensive when it came to going to the emergency room.

While JPAD does not administer Covid-19 testing, they did check their patient’s vitals as well as ask about possible symptoms to determine if a test would be needed. Stueve says JPAD employees continue to use Personal Protection Equipment, and the supply chain for those items remains in high demand.
