JPAD new maintenance building on hold

(Crystal City, Festus) The Joachim-Plattin Ambulance District has drawn up plans to build a maintenance building to the south of their Crystal City location. However, the construction has been placed on hold until the upcoming road work and improvements on Highway 61-67 through Festus and Crystal City are underway. JPAD Administrator Curt Stueve says it made sense to wait.
The maintenance building would be used for repairs on their vehicles and additional storage. MODOT plans to begin the improvements along Highway 61-67 in February of 2023 and be completed by that fall.
