Judge Darrell Missey finalist for Eastern District Court of Appeals

(Hillsboro) Jefferson County Judge Darrell Missey is a finalist to be selected to the Eastern District Court of Appeals panel. Judge Missey explains what the Court of Appeals does and what it would mean to be chosen.
Judge Missey has passed the Presiding Judge distinction over to Judge Brenda Stacey. Judge Missey says he held that title longer than normal.
Court proceedings are still happening in Hillsboro, but jury trials are still not taking place. Judge Missey is hopeful that will change in the coming months. The 23rd Judicial Circuit Court is operating in Phase 2 of the current Covid-19 protocols.
