Judge Says No to Any Type of Bond for Centerville Man Charged with Murder in Reynolds County

(Centerville) A man from Centerville, facing first degree murder and armed criminal action charges out of Reynolds County was in court this week.

44-year-old Jason W. Baker is accused of shooting and killing the mother of his two young children back in June at her Centerville home.

Baker’s attorney was wanting a reduction in his bond but the judge said Baker will continue to be held in the Reynolds County jail with no bond.

His preliminary hearing is set for September 9th at the courthouse in Centerville.

On June 20th, Baker allegedly shot the mother of his 9-year-old and 7-year-old sons.

He then took off with the boys which led to the issuing of an Amber Alert.

After the alert was issued, the boys were eventually found safe with Baker and that’s when he was arrested for murder.
