(Jefferson County) The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office has made an arrest in the double shooting case that occurred on May 9th in the area of Meyer Road and Highway P by the Joachim Creek just outside of Hematite.

According to the sheriff’s office the suspect arrested is a juvenile and they have been turned over to juvenile authorities. No more information was released about the suspect.

The two victims shot, a 28-year-old man from High Ridge and a 26-year-old woman from Pevely, were both taken to area hospitals for treatment.

The male victim was treated and released and the female victim was reported to still be in the hospital in stable condition.
