Kade Willis On 100th Win, Parkland Health Mart Pharmacy Athlete Of The Week Award

(OWENSVILLE, Mo.) – After a championship in the 132-pound bracket at the Owensville Tournament on Saturday, junior wrestler Kade Willis for the Central Rebels is J-98’s Parkland Health Mart Pharmacy Play It Forward Athlete of the Week.

Nothing was easy for Kade in his five matches, as he saw three state medalists from a year ago.

Through it all, he emerged 5-0 and added another title to his collection.

He says he loves facing off against the best.

In addition to the championship, Willis actually got his 100th career win over the weekend in just his junior season.

He crossed the threshold in his final match against the 4th-in-state wrestler from a year prior.

He gives us his thoughts on that accomplishment.

And as part of the award, Parkland Health Mart Pharmacy will donate $25 to a non-profit of Willis’ choice.

He is selecting the Aubrey Strong Cancer Awareness Benefit, which is taking place in Bonne Terre on Saturday, March 7th.

It benefits a Park Hills girl who is battling cancer.

Along with being Athlete of the Week, Kade Willis also received a Play It Forward t-shirt and a certificate.
