Kendall Boyer and Company Have DeSoto Basketball Up for Challenge of Conference Play

(DESOTO) The DeSoto girls basketball team finished all of last season at 8-18, but on December 19th of this season, the Lady Dragons matched that win total by beating St. Pius 52-48.
Head coach Sam Rauls says that leading scorer and rebounder Kendall Boyer is a significant reason for the turnaround.
Boyer is averaging 19 points and 14 rebounds a game through 12 starts. She is 120 points and 173 rebounds away from reaching a thousand in each for her career. Coach Rauls also points out that Boyer has a great supporting cast with the likes of Kaitlyn McGinnitey, Emily Smith, Kayli Hartmann, and Krystin Keath.
With the team’s sights set on improving their current 8-4 record, coach Rauls has identified two key areas that they need to improve in.
DeSoto started conference play with 6-1 Perryville Thursday night and lost 61-38. That puts the Lady Dragons at 8-5 ahead of their next match on Monday at home against North County.
