Kendall Horton Signs To Play Two Sports At Fontbonne University

(Park Hills) Kendall Horton recently committed to play baseball and basketball at Division Three Fontbonne University in Clayton. A signing ceremony was held at Central High School in Park Hills on Monday, May 15th. Horton says it’s pretty cool that he can call himself a college athlete.

Horton was also a member of the football team at Central, catching 15 passes for 248 yards and four touchdowns his senior season. He helped the Rebels win back-to-back district titles. Right now, Horton is trying to help the Rebel baseball team win its second consecutive district championship. He tells us what he likes the most about playing baseball.

On the basketball court this past year, Horton helped the Rebels to their best season in school history with a second place finish in Class Four and a 28-4 record. He averaged eight points, 4.6 rebounds and 2.3 assists on 50.7% shooting from the field. Horton says his visit to Fontbonne went pretty well.

Horton wanted to thank some of his folks for all of their support.

Horton threw a complete game four-hitter in the Rebels’ 6-0 win over Herculaneum in the Class Four District Two semifinals Monday afternoon. He went 1-for-3 with an RBI at the plate.
