Kids vs. Cops in Shotgun/Archery Competition

(Ironton) The Iron County University of Missouri Extension Office and the Ironton 4-H Club will be hosting their 8th Annual 4-H Shooting Sports vs. Law Enforcement event next Saturday, June 26th, at the Arcadia Valley Lions Club Fairgrounds. Iron County youth will go head-to-head against local law enforcement to see who the true marksmen are. County Engagement Specialist in 4-H Youth Development Brad Coleman says The competition is going to have a little twist this year.

Coleman says the kids have fun in the competition, but they also dominate. The 4-H Shooting Team has won six out of the last seven years.

Coleman says what is most important of all, is the interaction and connection between youth and adults.

There is no cost to attend the event but participants must bring their own ammunition. The event begins at 10 am at the Arcadia Valley Lions Club Fairgrounds.
