Kim Karr-Ballew of Fredericktown formerly of Herculaneum passed away Thursday. She was 62. Kim was a member of the Herculaneum and Fredericktown United Methodist Churches; the Quilter’s Guilds in Festus, Arnold, and Fredericktown, where she donated many of her works to the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life and the Camp Hope military veterans retreat.

She is survived by her mother Vernele, her husband Douglas Ballew of Fredericktown, Missouri; son Sheldon Devanathan of Warsaw; daughter Kelley Devanathan of San Francisco; step-son Jason of Fredericktown; step-daughter Jennifer Smith of Louisiana; brother Gene Karr of Herculaneum; 3 grandchildren; and numerous step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Kim Karr-Ballew will be Monday afternoon at 1 at Vinyard Hillcrest Funeral Home in Pevely with interment in Herculaneum Cemetery.

Visitation for Kim will be Monday morning from 11 until the time of services at the funeral home.

Memorials in Kim’s memory are preferred to the Alzheimer’s Association.
