Kimmswick Mississippi River port progressing

(Kimmswick) Progress continues at the Kimmswick port along the Mississippi River. The port will be a commercial port for riverboats to dock there, while the passengers visit the historic town. Kimmswick Mayor Phil Stang says the future of the town will rely heavily on this development.

Less than two weeks ago, there was a test landing held at the newly constructed dock at the Kimmswick port, in which the American Duchess pulled in. There are several more features in the planning phases for the Kimmswick port which include a roadway leading into the facility, a park, and even a possible amphitheater.
