King named new Southern Reynolds R-2 superintendent

With the passing of superintendent Dr. Mike Redlich, the Southern Reynolds County R-2 school district in Ellington needs new leadership. That post has been filled from within after Wednesday’s special session meeting of the board of education. Board president Phil Roberts says high school assistant principal Paula King will ascend to the position of district superintendent.
King will officially take over as superintendent on July 1st, and Roberts says she’ll be asked to do a lot right away.
But Roberts also says there is a great support staff around King.
Jake Hime, who recently won the state championship as coach of the Ellington High School baseball team, will take over King’s position as assistant high school principal.
