(Cadet, Mo.) The Mineral Area College baseball team has brought on another talented player from the area with the signing of Keith “Boots” Jessen from Kingston High School.
Jessen says he chose MAC because of its close proximity and the opportunity to springboard to a four-year university.
Jessen was a three-time All-Conference and All-District player for the Cougars and had been the ace of the pitching staff from the time he stepped foot on campus as a freshman.
Despite having his junior season cut short due to an arm injury and losing the 2020 season due to the ongoing pandemic, Jessen says he gave everything he had to the Kingston baseball program and loved every minute of being a part of it.
Kingston baseball head coach Larry Nettles says Jessen was a big part of the Cougars’ program and was always reliable on the hill.
The MAC baseball team was 5-9 last year before their season was cut short due to COVID-19.
The Cardinals will hope to begin their upcoming season in February of 2021.
