Knights Win Masher 10-6 Over Potosi

(Farmington) In a defensive struggle Farmington held off Potosi 10-6 during the Knights home opener and senior night at Haile Memorial Stadium. No one found the endzone in the first half, but the Knights did get on the scoreboard…

Potosi threatened to take the lead, but fumbled as they crossed the goal line.
The Trojans outgained the Knights in the second half, but Farmington won the battle of hidden yardage thanks to punter Kael Krause. Krause chased down a snap that went over his head, retrieved it at his own four yard line and then managed to get off a 50 yard punt. Then later he pinned Potosi at the three yard line setting up a short field for the Knights. Braden Bodkin converted for the eventual game winning points…

Botkin finished with 98 yards rushing on 19 carries.

Potosi put together a 16 play 80 yard drive and finally punched it in with 15 seconds left…

The Trojans were unable to recover the onside kick attempt and Farmington held on for the win.
