(Crystal City) The Crystal City School District is looking at some changes in leadership when the 2020-21 school year begins next month. Matt Holdinhausen was named the new Schools Superintendent, and his replacement as the high school principal was hired a few months ago. The new principal is another Crystal City alum, Ross Koenig, who comes to the district after serving one year as the Windsor High School Athletic Director. Koenig says the process came together at a strange time.

Koenig says coming back home as the principal comes at good time after the passage of Proposition KIDS in June.

Prior to his time at Windsor, Koenig worked for several years in the Jefferson R-7 School District and was the Telegraph Intermediate Assistant Principal for three years. This will be his second stint working at Crystal City, as he began his career in education at the high school as a para-professional.
