Lady Rebels Are Heading Back To The Class 4 State Quarterfinals

(Farmington) The Central Lady Rebels are heading to the Class 4 State Quarterfinals. #5 Central held off a late rally from #3 Doniphan to win the game 46-37.

Central held Doniphan to just one field goal in the second quarter. Kinley Norris connected on her second three-pointer to give Central a 26-17 lead at the break…

Norris finished with 11 points. Central led 40-24 after three and attempted to burn out as much clock as possible in the fourth quarter. Doniphan scored the first points of the final frame with 4:29 to go and kept getting to the line, forcing turnovers and eventually cut it to a seven point Central lead…

Doniphan had to start fouling. The Rebels went 6-of-9 from the line in the fourth quarter while Khloe Dischbein hit all four of her free throws. Coach Josh Mapes broke down the fourth quarter on the Patsy’s Furniture Postgame Show…

Dischbein led the way with 12 points. Halle Richardson and Allysa O’Connor scored 10 each.
Central improves to 26-3 and will play in the Class Four quarterfinals on Saturday at noon at Jefferson College. We’ll broadcast the game on AM-800 KREI.
Doniphan’s McKenna Monaghan scored a game-high 17 points. The Donnettes finish the year at 26-3.
