Lake Wappapello Official Reminds You to Stay Hydrated This First Hot Weekend of the Year

(Wappapello) This weekend will be the first hot and muggy weekend of the season as southeast Missouri has escaped the warmer weather with an unusually cool spring until this week.
Becky Hays is with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Lake Wappapello in Wayne County.
She has this advice if you are going to be out on the water or outside for a considerable amount of time this weekend.
We asked Hays if Lake Wappapello has seen many fishermen since spring began.
Next Saturday the 19th at 11 and 2 o’clock at the Bill Emerson Memorial Visitor Center at Lake Wappapello, the Dickerson Park Zoo will bring in live majestic eagles, featuring a bald eagle and a golden eagle.
There is no admission to see the raptors.
