Larson Claims Ironman 55 at Pevely Raceway

(Pevely) Rain was minutes away.

The laps still showed five to go.

Kyle Larson led with a hungry and determined Sheldon Haudenschild pushing his sprint car to its limits to steal the lead and claim another World of Outlaws Ironman 55 title Saturday night at Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55 in Pevely.

Larson took home the $20,000 purse.

Taking 2nd in the Ironman 55 was Sheldon Haudenschild while Shane Stewart took 3rd place.

Logan Schuchart made the top 10 with an 8th place finish.

He says the World of Outlaws has been around for many years but it is still a growing sport in the racing world.

It was doubleheader World of Outlaws event at Pevely over the weekend.

Besides Larson winning the Ironman 55 on Saturday night, Sheldon Haudenschild won Friday night’s 35-lap feature race.

The World of Outlaws continue their schedule with a big three-night event Thursday night Friday night and Saturday night at the Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa.
