Leader of Arizona drug mules moving meth in southeast MO pleads guilty
An Arizona woman has pleaded guilty in federal court as part of a large drug bust in southeast Missouri.
39-year-old Sandra Michael Jimenez copped to one count of conspiracy to distribute 500 grams or more of methamphetamine and admitted to being part of a group moving meth from Arizona to southeast Missouri.
Agents with the Drug Enforcement Administration worked with Homeland Security and the SEMO Drug Task Force to intercept a 40-pound shipment of meth near Kennett and arrest 3 men back in August 2018.
Jimenez took over coordinating the movement of the drugs after the arrest, but additional meth was found in Sikeston and in Tuscon, Arizona.
5 other people have also been sentenced as part of the sting.
Jimenez will be officially sentenced in February in Cape Girardeau court.
