Leadwood Man Killed In Accident

(Leadwood) A Leadwood man was killed last night in a traffic accident on Highway 8 in St. Francois County.
The highway patrol says 36 year old De’Etta Pierce was driving east when she hit 40 year old Michael Stevens of Leadwood, who was standing in the eastbound lanes of the road.
Stevens was pronounced dead at the scene by St. Francois County Ambulance District personnel.
The accident happened just after 9 o’clock Friday night.
