Leadwood Police gets New Vehicle & Burnout Event Discussed at Council Meeting

(Leadwood) The Leadwood Police Department is getting a new vehicle.

Mayor David Henry says the city council approved the purchase at this week’s meeting.

Mayor Henry says a Leadwood organization was also at the meeting, talking about a special event they would like to hold next year.

In other news from the Leadwood City Council meeting, it was announced the City is looking to purchase a portable heater to be used in the street department shop.

The council is also waiting for an affordable bid for a security camera for city hall that will be placed in the area where citizens pay for city services.
