A new law in the United States that prohibits the sale of tobacco products to anyone under the age of 21 is now in effect, according to the US Food and Drug Administration. Attorney Mark Bishop with the Wegman Law Firm in Hillsboro says it also includes vaping and E-cigarettes, but the most interesting thing about the law concerns medical marijuana.

Some states had already raised the minimum age to buy tobacco products to 21. A bipartisan group of senators had wanted the measure for some time. They finally got it pushed through by attaching it to spending bills that had to pass to avoid a government shutdown.
