Leopold & Ste. Genevieve Students Shine in Bridge Building Competition

(Cape Girardeau) After weeks of work to build the most efficient model bridges, southeast Missouri high school students put their bridges to the test on Wednesday at the completion of the Missouri Department of Transportation’s 20th Annual Bridge Building Competition.

Luke Turnbough says the competition challenged high school juniors and seniors to design and construct the most efficient model bridge using limited materials like balsa wood, thread and glue.
