(Lesterville, Mo.) A prolific shooter with the Lesterville Bearcats girls basketball team, Leah Thomas signed to continue her basketball career with the Central Methodist women’s basketball team. She says her skill set as a player fit in well with the Eagles.
Thomas averaged just under fifteen points per game this season as the point guard for Lesterville. The Lady Bearcats had three freshman and two sophomores alongside Thomas this season and managed to win 15 games, something Thomas says was sort of a surprise.
Melissa St. Gemme is the head coach for the Lady Bearcats, and even though this is the first season she had to coach Thomas, she says she is irreplaceable.
Leah Thomas adds an offensive prowess to a team in Central Methodist that only lost two games this past season and made it to the NAIA national tournament as a 2-seed before having their first round game canceled due to COVID-19.
