(LESTERVILLE, Mo.) – As the fall season approaches, the Lesterville Bearcats volleyball team looks to build another winning season with a strong base of players. The Bearcats went 20-9-1 last year, winning their fourth district title in six years. This season, they find themselves in a less-familiar district, and coach Betsy Middleton said they learned more about their new opponents at the preseason jamboree last Friday.

Coach Middleton said she has some good returning players this year.

Despite a large senior class leaving from last year, coach Middleton said her senior class this year can be strong leaders, too.

Lesterville will begin the volleyball regular season Tuesday, Aug. 28 when they host Valley of Caledonia.
