Listening Area Seeing Drought Conditions

Many counties in the listening area are abnormally dry, with some in a moderate drought. With the incoming heat this week, worse drought conditions could be possible. Meteorologist with the National Weather Service in St. Louis Jared Maples says some high-end drought could make its way to the listening area.

Maples does have some good news, he says the drought won’t be as bad as the summer of 2012.

There’s a slim chance of rain next week with highs near 100.
