Local Church to Host Used Shoe Fundraiser Saturday

(Iron Mountain) A local church is kicking off a major fundraiser Saturday in The Parkland.

Brittenie Lincoln with Iron Mountain Assembly of God Church says you can help them out Saturday at a few different locations.

If you can’t make it Saturday to donate your used shoes, you can still donate them for this fundraiser.

Lincoln says they will have permanent drop boxes for donations at anytime at several locations up to the second week of April.

Lincoln says the Iron Mountain Assembly of God Church has about 15 from the kids group who will attend camp at the Lake of the Ozarks and they have about 15 more from the church’s youth group who will attend camp near Caledonia.

The collected shoes will be sent to 26 developing countries and in turn the kids will receive monetary funds to help pay for camp.
