(Jefferson County) Leaders of local law enforcement agencies and state legislators will be holding a meeting next month to discuss the increase in local crimes and the bail reform effect.

Jefferson County Sheriff Dave Marshak is hopeful this meeting will result in some good ideas in terms of keeping criminals in jail longer instead of getting out of jail just to commit more non-violent crimes.

Sheriff Marshak says support from state officials is much needed.

The meeting will take place on Friday, December 6th.
