Local Student wins Missouri S&T Scholarship from Alpha Iota Education Foundation

Sigma Pi’s Alpha Iota Education Foundation has announced their scholarship recipients to two students currently attending Missouri University of Science and Technology in Rolla. One of the recipients is Reese Newland of Steelville. Reese is a freshman at S&T and is studying chemical engineering. He was awarded the Dr. Richard Miller Schlarship worth $1,500. Phillip Weber is the Vice President of the Alpha Iota Education Foundation.
Weber tells us why Newland deserved this scholarship.
The other scholarship was awarded to Charlie Dickman of Kansas City. He was awarded the Richard and Ruth Swanson Memorial Scholarship worth $5,000 dollars. Dickman is studying aerospace engineering and is a member of Missouri S&T’s Air Force ROTC program.
