Loida Earns Dream Team Spot For State Champion Warriors

(STE. GENEVIEVE, Mo.) – After winning another state championship with the Valle Catholic Warriors baseball team, senior Chris Loida earned his first-ever selection to the Regional Radio Baseball Dream Team. Loida was impressive in all facets of the game this year, hitting .426 with two homers and 27 runs batted in, while also posting a 1.63 ERA and a 7-2 pitching record. He said he felt well prepared going into his final high school season.
Loida had won state championships earlier in his high school career in both baseball and football, but he said this year’s title was especially meaningful.
Loida said he will cherish some great memories from his high school athletic career.
Loida plans to attend Missouri S&T in Rolla and major in chemical engineering.FULL INTERVIEW:
