Lots of damage in Herculaneum after Saturday storms

(Herculaneum) The City of Herculaneum was one of the areas hardest hit with damage around town from the Saturday night storms. Herculaneum City Administrator Jim Kasten says the pavilion at Kade’s playground collapsed and will have to be rebuilt.

Kasten says there is damage to some of their city buildings and to area residents as well.

Kasten says there was one such instance that took place at a neighbor’s property that could have been worse.

Kasten says area residents can place branches and limbs near the streets to be picked up over the next several days.

Herculaneum is planning on placing dumpsters at a few locations in town for those that want to drop off branches and limbs. One will be located in Herculaneum City Park, and another could be placed in the commuter lot located on McNutt Street.
