Lottery Commission Chair from Viburnum Talks Coronavirus & Illegal Gaming

(Viburnum) The pandemic has affected pretty much everything during the past year including the Missouri Lottery.

Lance Mayfield of Viburnum is the chairman of the Missouri Lottery Commission.

He explains.

But Mayfield says funds from illegal games put up at various locations across the state are not getting to Missouri schools and he hopes that’s going to change soon.

In other gambling news supported by the Missouri Lottery, the month of March has been designated Gambling Awareness Month.

It’s to raise awareness on gambling addiction.

The National Council on Problem Gambling says there are about 2-million American adults who have a gambling disorder.
