Lt. Colonel Whitney reacts to STL Chief Jon Belmar retirement

(Hillsboro) Last week, St. Louis County Police Chief Jon Belmar announced he would be retiring after serving six years in that position. Lieutenant Colonel Tim Whitney with the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office says both agencies had a good working relationship with one another.
Lieutenant Colonel Whitney says he didn’t know Chief Belmar very well but always received helpful information and advice when needed.
Chief Jon Belmar will officially retire on April 30th with nearly 34 years in law enforcement.
